Please exercise caution and Do Not open attachments or click links from unknown senders or unexpected email. **** Thank you for talking last week about some of the requirements for the Tent we are planning to use in our Outdoor Worship Service on 7/18. Confirming our conversation we have used this same setup for at least the last five years (excluding 2020). 1. The tent is going to be put up by All Occasion Tent Rental on Friday, July 14. 2. The service will be around 10 am and last an hour on Sunday, July 18. 3. Exits will be at each end of the tent. We will also have fire extinguishers available in the tent. Average attendance for this event is usually around 300 people. 4. There are no sides on the tent. It is the top portion only. The tent is 60 x 80. (pdf attached showing proposed location) 5. There will be no generator, air conditioner, etc. 6. We will have a portable stage set up in the middle of the tent. 7. We will be plugging in electrical equipment (guitar, speakers) from the building outlets. You advised in our discussion we would not need to submit an electrical plan if we were using power from our building. 8. I have attached a proposed seating arrangement. As we discussed, depending on CDC requirements we will seat people according to that protocol. We also might have people carry their own chairs and then direct them to set up so social distancing can be maintained. 9. On Monday, July 19- Friday, July 23 our Children’s Ministry will be using for snacks and games. The tent will be empty of chairs, tables, etc. and they will be sitting on the floor or moving around playing games. 10. In the past, we have contacted the fire department when the tent is erected for an inspection. Please feel free to contact me with any additional questions. Will you let me know if our permit has been approved? Hope you have a great day! As you have noticed, we have changed a few things when applying for the temporary use permit. In recent years, we have had tent contractors submit proposals for a temporary use permits that were lacking in detail. This created issues when we would come out to do our inspections and things where not set up correctly. We now are asking for detailed drawings that include the following: 1. Detailed floor plans/ set-up 2. Occupant load calculations-note standing areas, tables and chairs, chairs only, etc. 3. Exit locations 4. Fire Extinguisher locations 5. Detail all locations and types for any and all appliances, generators, heating & air conditioning equipment and cooking equipment 6. Will the Tent have sides, if so identify location? 7. Emergency lighting locations 8. Show any electrical distribution equipment or heating devices The submittal of this information is critical to ensure that the proposed design is what is being set-up for the event. This also helps to alleviate any concerns prior to setting up. Thank you for your understanding with these changes. Please submit the above requested information for our review. If you have any additional question or concerns please let me know. Respectfully, Luke Ray Fire Marshal Carmel Fire Department 10701 N.
