AND ORDINANCES, INCLUDING BACKFLOW PREVENTION CODES
PERTAINING TO THIS PROJECT. LOCAL CODES SHALL PREVAIL.
B. ALL FIXTURES SHALL BE SUPPLIED WITH INDIVIDUAL WATER SUPPLY
STOPS AND CODE APPROVED TRAPS. ALL EXPOSED PIPING SHALL BE
CHROME PLATED.
C. ALL PLUMBING FIXTURES SHALL BE INSTALLED WITH APPROVED
BACKFLOW PREVENTION DEVICES.
D. VACUUM BREAKERS MUST BE INSTALLED ON ALL EXISTING OR
PROPOSED HOSE THREAD FITTINGS INCLUDED BUT NOT LIMITED TO HOSE
BIBS, WALL/YARD HYDRANTS, AND MOP/SERVICE SINKS.
E. A CROSS-CONNECTION CONTROL DEVICE INSPECTOR SHALL TEST ALL
BACKFLOW DEVICES AT THE TIME OF INSTALLATION AND SUBMIT REPORTS
TO THE LOCAL WATER UTILITY AS REQUIRED.
F. ALL MATERIALS INSTALLED WITHIN PLENUM SPACE SHALL HAVE FLAME
SPREAD RATING OF NOT MORE THAN 25 AND A SMOKE DEVELOPED RATING
NOT EXCEEDING 50 IN ACCORDANCE WITH STATE CODES.
G. ALL WATER LINES 3AND LARGER MUST BE DISINFECTED. SAMPLES
FROM 3 CONSECUTIVE DAYS MUST BE TAKEN TO AN APPROVED TEST LAB.
LAB ANALYSIS REPORTS SHALL BE SUBMITTED TO THE LOCAL WATER
UTILITY AS REQUIRED FOR COMPLIANCE.
H. CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE ALL EQUIPMENT, MATERIALS, AND
LABOR FOR CORE DRILLING AS REQUIRED FOR INSTALLATION OF PIPING
PENETRATING BUILDING CONSTRUCTION.
I. COORDINATE EXACT LOCATION OF ROOF DRAINS WITH
ARCHITECTURAL AND STRUCTURAL PLANS.
J. REFERENCE ARCHITECTURAL DRAWINGS FOR ALL DIMENSIONS,
TYPICAL.
K. ALL FLOOR DRAINS IN TOILET ROOMS SHALL HAVE TRAP PRIMERS
INSTALLED.
L. TYPE K COPPER TUBING SHALL BE USED FOR ALL DOMESTIC SUPPLY
PLUMBING BELOW SLAB. NO FITTINGS, SUCH AS COUPLINGS, TEES, OR
ELBOWS, SHALL BE USED BELOW OR WITHIN THE SLAB.
M. THESE NOTES ARE TYPICAL OF ALL PLUMBING PLANS UNLESS
OTHERWISE INDICATED SPECIFICALLY ON PLAN NOTES.
N. ALL FLOOR DRAINS SHALL BE RE-VENTED. RE-VENTS SHALL BE A
MINIMUM OF 2UNDERGROUND AND 1-1/2ABOVE GROUND.
O. ALL ROOF DRAINS WHICH WILL BE CONCEALED IN WALLS SHALL BE OF
METALLIC PIPE.
P. ALL VENT LINES SHALL BE INCREASED ONE PIPE SIZE WHEN EXITING
THE ROOF. MINIMUM 3DIAMETER VENT INCREASERS REQUIRED.
Q. REFER TO ATTACHED BOUND DOCUMENT: DIVISION 15 MECHANICAL
SPECIFICATIONS, WHICH ARE AN INTEGRAL, FUNCTIONAL, AND
GOVERNING PART OF THIS SET OF MECHANICAL AND PLUMBING PLANS.
KEYED NOTES AND GENERAL NOTES LISTED DIRECTLY ON DRAWINGS
SHALL HAVE PRECEDENCE.
ALL PLUMBING PLANS ARE DIAGRAMMATIC AND DO NOT INDICATE EVERY
REQUIRED OFFSET, FITTING, ETC. VERIFY ALL SPACE REQUIREMENTS,
COORDINATING WITH OTHER TRADES, AND INSTALL THE SYSTEMS IN THE
SPACE PROVIDED WITHOUT EXTRA COST TO THE OWNER.
R. ALL SANITARY PLUMBING SHALL BE SCHEDULE 40 PVC.
S. ALL DOMESTIC WATER PIPING SHALL BE TYPE K COPPER INSULATED.
T. ALL COMPRESSED AIR PIPING SHALL BE TRANSAIR ALUMINUM PIPING.
U. ALL NATURAL GAS PLUMBING SHALL BE SCHEDULE 40 STEEL PIPE ,
BLACK. INSTALL ALL GAS PIPING BELOW ROOF EXCEPT WHERE INDICATED
ON THE PLANS TO BE RUN ON ROOF. WHEN INSTALLED ON ROOF, INSTALL
PER INTERNATIONAL FUEL CODE.
V. ALL STORM DRAIN PLUMBING PIPING SHALL BE SCHEDULE 40 PVC
PIPING.
W. PLUMBING CONTRACTOR TO COORDINATE WITH MECHANICAL
CONTRACTOR & PROJECT MANAGER FOR ROUTING OF HVAC DUCTWORK
AND PLUMBING SYSTEMS, DUCTWORK SHALL TAKE PRECEDENT OVER
PLUMBING, ANY CONFLICTS DUE TO FAILURE TO COMMUNICATE BETWEEN
TRADES WILL BE THE PLUMBING CONTRACTORS RESPONSIBILITY. NO
EXTRAS ALLOWED.
X. REFER TO COMPLETE SET OF ARCHITECTURAL DRAWINGS FOR
BUILDING DESIGN. REFERENCE BUILDING ELEVATIONS & SECTIONS TO
DETERMINE FULL SCOPE OF WORK. PROVIDE COORDINATION DRAWINGS
