WHERE IDENTICAL MATERIALS ARE UNAVAILABLE OR CANNOT BE USED, USE MATERIALS WHOSE INSTALLED PERFORMANCE EQUALS OR SURPASSES THAT OF THE EXISTING MATERIALS. 7. MAINTAIN AND RESTORE, IF INTERRUPTED BY DEMOLITION OR IN THE PATH OF NEW CONSTRUCTION, ALL UTILITIES PASSING THROUGH AND SERVING OUTSIDE OF DEMOLITION AREA. 8. MECHANICAL SYSTEMS INSTALLATION MUST MAINTAIN INTEGRITY OF WALLS, PARTITIONS AND FLOORS DESIGNATED AS EITHER FIRE RATED OR "SMOKE TIGHT".
