1. LOCATIONS AND QUANTITIES AS PROPOSED ARE BASED
ON NFPA 10. VERIFY & COORDINATE FINAL QUANTITIES,
LOCATIONS, AND INSTALLATION WITH LOCAL
JURISDICTION.
TOTAL FIRE EXTINGUISHERS TO BE DETERMINED BY THE
FIRE MARSHALL. ALL FIRE EXTINGUISHERS SHALL HAVE A

UNIT IS NO MORE THAN 5'-0" A.F.F.
PLACE SALES FLOOR F.E.'s ON REAR SIDE OF COLUMNS AS
SHOWN (or as allowed by fixture placement per DSG's F-1 plan.
11,250 S.F. MAX. Floor area for each fire extinguisher.
75' MAXIMUM TRAVEL DISTANCE TO EXTINGUISHER
1,500 SQ. FT. PER UNIT OF A
Minimum rated extinguisher - 2a-10b:c
FIRE EXTINGUISHER SIZE AND PLACEMENT FOR CLASS A
HAZARDS.
FIRE EXTINGUISHER SIZE AND PLACEMENT FOR CLASS B
HAZARDS.
ORDINARY (MODERATE) HAZARD - Size 10b extinguisher
rating requires 30'-0" max. travel distance to extinguisher.
Size 20B Extinguisher rating requires 50'-0" max. travel distance
to extinguisher.
FIRE EXTINGUISHER SIZE AND PLACEMENT FOR CLASS C HAZARDS.
Required where energized electrical equipment can be
encountered that would require a nonconducting extinguishing
medium.

Note Section 1005.1: 50% x 80.0"=40.0" for remaining exits if main
exit (largest capacity) is blocked 150 + 150 = 300"
(remaining doors must add up to a minimum 50% of egress width
capacity as required by code.)
IX. Plumbing Fixture analysis:
b. 1 urinal required; (1 existing)
NOTE:
EXISTING FIRE EXTINGUISHERS TO REMAIN IN EXISTING LOCATIONS, UNLESS REQUIRED
