Selective Insurance Sign Variance
900 E. 96th Street
This petition is regarding signage at the 900 E. 96th Street, also known as Parkwood Crossing 9. I
am Doug Staley, Jr. with Staley Signs, petitioner for Parkwood Nine, LLC.
We are seeking a variance of PUD to allow for two signs on the North elevation (facing I465),
only one sign available.
We believe that the BZA should grant the variance to allow for a second wall sign to be placed
on the North elevation for several reasons. If this building were subject to the current UDO
and not the PUD a second sign on the North elevation would be allowed. The existing PUD is
outdated and does not reflect the standards of the current ordinance. Finally, other Parkwood
Crossing buildings to the West of College Avenue and to the North of I465 are subject to the
UDO, not the PUD, and are allowed two signs faces I465.
Thank you for your consideration on this matter.
