UTILITY NOTES:
1. PROPER CARE MUST BE USED TO CONSTRUCT PROPOSED FOUNDATIONS
AND UTILITIES.
IT SHALL BE THE CONTRACTORS RESPONSIBILITY TO USE A SOILS
ENGINEER FOR RECOMMENDATIONS DURING THE SITE
CONSTRUCTION PHASE.
2. ALL CONTRACTORS MUST TAKE PARTICULAR CARE WHEN
EXCAVATING IN AND AROUND EXISTING UTILITY LINES AND
EQUIPMENT. ACTUAL FIELD LOCATIONS OF ALL THE EXISTING
UTILITIES ARE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR AND MUST
BE LOCATED EITHER BY THE REPRESENTATIVE OF THE LOCAL
UTILITY COMPANY OR BY A PRIVATE UNDERGROUND UTILITY
LOCATION COMPANY PRIOR TO THE START OF EXCAVATING. VERIFY
MINIMUM COVER REQUIREMENTS BY THE UTILITY CONTRACTOR OR
CONTRACTORS, OR AGENCIES, WHICHEVER UTILITY COMPANY OR
AGENCIES, THAT HAS JURISDICTION, SO NOT TO CAUSE DAMAGE.
3. IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR TO NOTIFY ALL THE
UTILITY COMPANIES AND DEPARTMENT 72 HOURS BEFORE
CONSTRUCTION IS TO START TO VERIFY ANY UTILITIES THAT MAY BE
PRESENT ON THE SITE. ALL VERIFICATIONS, LOCATIONS, SIZE, AND
DEPTHS SHALL BE MADE BY THE APPROPRIATE UTILITY COMPANIES
OR DEPARTMENTS. WHEN EXCAVATING AROUND OR OVER EXISTING
UTILITIES, THE CONTRACTOR MUST NOTIFY THE UTILITY COMPANY
SO A REPRESENTATIVE OF THE UTILITY CAN BE PRESENT DURING THE
EXCAVATION TO INSTRUCT AND OBSERVE DURING THE EXCAVATION.
4. ALL CONSTRUCTION METHODS AND MATERIALS MUST CONFORM TO
THE CURRENT STANDARDS AND SPECIFICATIONS OF THE FEDERAL,
STATE, COUNTY, CITY, OR LOCAL REQUIREMENTS, WHICHEVER HAS
JURISDICTION.
5. THE UTILITIES INDICATED ON THESE PLANS AND ON THE SURVEY MAY
NOT BE A COMPLETE INVENTORY OF ALL THE EXISTING UTILITIES
PRESENT ON AND AROUND THIS SITE. THE LOCATION AND SIZE OF
THESE UTILITIES MAYBE APPROXIMATE. THIS INFORMATION WAS
GATHERED OR SUPPLIED BY OTHERS AND USED BY THE ENGINEER
AND MAY NOT BE ACTUAL. THE ENGINEER SHALL NOT BE HELD
LIABLE FOR ANY INCORRECT OR MISLEADING UTILITY INFORMATION
INDICATED, IMPLIED, OR NOT INDICATED ON THESE PLANS.
6. IT SHALL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR TO BEAR ALL
EXPENSES TO REMOVE, RELOCATE AND OR MODIFY ALL UTILITIES,
PRIVATE OR PUBLIC, OR OTHERWISE, IT SHALL BE THE
RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR TO VERIFY WITH EACH
UTILITY COMPANY AND OR AGENT WHOM IS RESPONSIBLE TO
REMOVE, RELOCATE, AND/OR MODIFY SUCH UTILITY EXISTING OR
PROPOSED. IT FURTHER SHALL BE THE CONTRACTORS'
RESPONSIBILITY TO VERIFY IF ANY FUTURE UTILITIES ARE PLANNED
AND HOW IT MAY EFFECT THIS PROJECT AND IT'S OWNER AS TO THEIR
FUTURE RESPONSIBILITIES.
7. ALL CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITY ON THIS SITE TO BE PERFORMED IN
COMPLIANCE WITH APPLICABLE O.S.H.A. STANDARDS FOR WORKER
SAFETY.
8. ANY PART OF THE SANITARY OR STORM SEWER TRENCHES RUNNING
UNDER PAVED AREAS TO BE BACKFILLED WITH GRANULAR
MATERIAL.
9. WATER SERVICE LINE TO THE BUILDING SHALL HAVE A SHUTOFF
VALVE IN AN ACCESSIBLE LOCATION OUTSIDE OF THE BUILDING
10. WATER METER PIT LOCATION TO BE DETERMINED BY LOCAL WATER
COMPANY.
NOTE:
NO EARTH DISTURBING ACTIVITY MAY COMMENCE
WITHOUT AN APPROVED STORM WATER
MANAGEMENT PERMIT.
NOTE:
IT SHALL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR TO FIELD
VERIFY THE LOCATION OF THE EXISTING UTILITIES WITH WHICH
WE HAVE PROPOSED CONNECTIONS AND COORDINATE WITH THE
PROJECT MANAGER.
NOTE:
IT SHALL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR TO
REMOVE AND REPLACE ANY HARDSCAPE NECESSARY FOR THE
INSTALLATION OF THE PROPOSED UTILITIES. REPLACEMENT OF
THE HARDSCAPE SHALL BE DONE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE
DETAILS SHOWN ON SHEET C800.
NOTE:
IT SHALL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR TO INSTALL
ALL SANITARY SEWER ELEMENTS TO THE SPECIFICATIONS AND
DETAILS SET FORTH IN CARMEL SEWER WASTEWATER STANDARD
DETAILS.
NOTE:
SEE DETAIL 2/C801 FOR TYPE III SANITARY CLEANOUT INSTALLATION
NOTE:
UTILITY RELOCATIONS REQUIRED BY THE PROJECT SHALL BE THE
RESPONSIBILITY OF THE DEVELOPER. UTILITY LINE RELOCATIONS
REQUIRED FOR ROAD PROJECTS THAT RESULT IN A CONFLICT
WITH PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT SHALL BE IN THE DEVELOPER TO
RESOLVE WITH THE UTILITY. EXISTING POLE LINES REQUIRED TO
BE RELOCATED TO WITHIN ONE FOOT OF PROPOSED
RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE.
NOTE:
DAMAGE TO THE EXISTING RIGHT-OF-WAY SHALL BE
RESTORED/REPAIRED TO THE SATISFACTION OF THE CITY AT THE
COMPLETION OF THE PROJECT. THE CONTRACTOR IS ENCOURAGED
TO INSPECT THE RIGHT-OF-WAY WITH THE CITY PRIOR TO THE
START OF CONSTRUCTION TO DOCUMENT THE EXISTING
CONDITION OF THE RIGHT-OF-WAY.
NOTE:
CONTRACTOR SHALL PROTECT THE EXISTING CITY DUAL DUCT
BANK IN THE RIGHT-OF-WAY. IN THE EVENT OF CONFLICT WITH
THE PROPOSED IMPROVEMENTS, RELOCATION OF THE DUAL DUCT
BANK AND ALL ASSOCIATED/APPURTENANT/ANCILLARY ITEMS
SHALL BE THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE DEVELOPER SUBJECT
