Cat –
Thank you for this info. Please also provide correspondence from your homeowners association (HOA) showing that they approved the deck project.

The height is 44” from the lowest part of the ground since our land slopes downwards in our backyard to a pond - there will also be a deck railing that is 4 feet high.
Thank you for your quick reply!

Good afternoon, Cat -
I am working with the Planning Director to determine if you need BZA variance approval or not.
And, I apologize if you have been asked this question before, but what is the height of the deck floor from the dirt/ground level? Thank you,

Hi Angie,
My husband and I have been redoing our deck and we were asked to file for a variance and gain a permit from the city. We had reached out to Jarrod
Huff and he said that there are no utilities adjacent to us that we need to worry about and that only the stairs to the deck appear to go inside the
easement. I have attached his response for your review as well as the plot plan and project details - also our application number is B-2021-00909. We
are in a bit of a rush to get this approval as the project has already been started and now is at a standstill as we need a permit from the city. Basically,
our backyard looks pretty rough at the moment so anything I need to do on my end I will get it done for you ASAP!
Please let me know what we need to do from here. Thank you for your time,
Cat
