4. ALL INTERIOR WALLS TO BE 4 1/2" THICK AND OF 2X4 STUD
CONSTRUCTION @ 16" O.C. WITH (1) LAYER 1/2" GYP. BD. ON
EACH SIDE UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED.
5. COORDINATE WITH OWNER FOR LOCATIONS OF ALL
ELECTRICAL OUTLETS AND LIGHT SWITCHES.
6. PATCH ALL PLASTER AND/OR GYP.BD. WALLS AND CEILINGS
WHERE DEMOLITION WORK HAS COMPROMISED EXISTING
FINISHES TO REMAIN. MATCH EXISTING TEXTURES OF
ADJACENT AREA.
7. CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR PROTECTING ALL
EXISTING AREAS AFFECTED BY DEMOLITION AND SHCEDULED
TO REMAIN. PROVIDE ALL SAFETY BARRIERS AND SHORING AS
REQUIRED TO PROTECT AND PERFORM NEW SCOPE OF WORK.
8. INSULATION CLEARANCE: COMBUSTIBLE INSULATION SHALL BE
SEPARATED A MINIMUM OF 3" FROM RECESSED LIGHTING
FIXTURES, FAN MOTORS AND OTHER HEAT-PRODUCING
DEVICES.
9. WHERE EAVES VENTS ARE INSTALLED, INSULATION SHALL NOT
BLOCK THE FREE FLOW OF AIR. A MINIMUM OF A 1" SPACE
SHALL BE PROVIDED BETWEEN THE INSULATION AND THE
ROOF SHEATHING AT THE LOCATION OF THE VENT.
10. SMOKE DETECTORS: (A) DETECTORS SHALL BE INSTALLED IN
EACH ROOM DESIGNED FOR SLEEPING, (B) OUTSIDE EACH
SEPARATE SLEEPING AREA IN THE IMMEDIATE VICINITY OF THE
BEDROOMS, (C) ON EACH ADDITIONAL STORY OF THE
DWELLING, INCLUDING BASEMENTS BUT NOT INCLUDING
CRAWL SPACES AND UNINHABITABLE ATTICS. ON THE CEILING
OF THE UPPER LEVEL NEAR THE TOP OR ABOVE EACH
STAIRWAY, IN ANY MULTISTORY DWELLING, IN DWELLINGS OR
DWELLING UNITS WITH SPLIT LEVELS AND WITHOUT AN
INTERVENING DOOR BETWEEN THE ADJACENT LEVELS, A
SMOKE ALARM INSTALLED ON THE UPPER LEVEL SHALL
SUFFICE FOR THE ADJACENT LOWER LEVEL PROVIDED THAT
THE LOWER LEVEL IS LESS THAN ONE FULL STORY BELOW THE
UPPER LEVEL, (E) IN THE LIVING AREA REMOTE FROM THE
KITCHEN AND COOKING APPLIANCES, (F) ON THE BASEMENT
