The sewer shall be installed in accordance with ASTM C-12 for extra strength clay pipe and ASTM 2321 for pvc pipe and the Uniform Plumbing Code for the State of Indiana. All installations shall be in strict compliance with pertinent City of Carmel ordinances. All building sewers shall be 6" diameter. All installations shall be "open trench" inspected and approved by the Carmel Sewer Department before any backfilling is done. Non-compliance may result in digging up the sewer installation and/or denial of future sewer permits and/or denial of water connections. No footing or foundation drains or other sources of ground water or storm water shall be permitted to enter the public sewer. Sewer inspections should be requested at(317) 571-2648 one to four hours in advance. No inspections or installations will be made on Saturday or Sunday or holidays unless arrangements are made at least 24 hours in advance. All plumbers or contractors installing sewer(or water)lines shall have a plumbers bond posted with the CITY ENGINEER'S OFFICE. If any street must be cut,a separate street cut permit shall be obtained.
