HomeMy WebLinkAboutBPW-07-15-98-01Haverstick SubAPPROVEF"' e,S FORM BY: RESOLUTION A RESOLUTION DETERMINING THAT THE HIGHEST AND BEST USE OF PORTIONS OF PARCELS NO. 10-22-00-00-012,001 AND 10-22-00-00-012.000 LOCATED IN THE CITY OF CARMEL, INDIANA, AND OWNED BY THE CITY OF CARMEL IS BY SALE OF THE PROPERTY TO THE ABUTTING LANDOWNER AND THAT IT IS ECONOMICALLY UNrUSTIFIABLE TO SELL THE TRACTS PURSUANT TO THE REQUIREMENTS OF IND. WHEREAS, the tracts to be sold consist of a total of less than one-third acre and are of irregular and odd dimensions, and; WHEREAS, pursuant to Ind. Code § 36-1-11-5(f) the assessed value of each tract to be sold is less than $5,000 in that Tract 1 is assessed for $7.44 and Tract 2 is assessed for $135.90; BE IT HEREBY DETERMINED by the Board of Public Works and Safety, pursuant to Ind. Code §36-1-11-5, that the highest and best use of Tracts 1 and 2 is to sell the tracts to the abutting landowner and that it is economically unjustifiable to sell the tracts pursuant to the requirements of Ind.
