A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARMEL,
INDIANA SUPPORTING LAND ACQUISITION
WHEREAS, for the benefit of the citizens of the City of Carmel (the "City") and
the Township of Clay, the City has identified certain properties comprised of
approximately 12 acres of real estate, which properties are further described in the
attached Exhibit A (collectively, the "Land"); and,
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City has determined that the Land
should be acquired by the City for the public' s use; and,
WHEREAS, Indiana Code 36-1-10.5 et seq. requires that the purchase by a
political subdivision of real property with an anticipated purchase price of $25,000 or
more be preceded by a resolution of the Common Council expressing its interest in such
acquisition.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of
Cannel, Indiana, that:
The City of Carmel is interested in purchasing the real property interests
consisting of approximately 12 acres, as further described in Exhibit A attached hereto.
