HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC-02-06-95-01 Hamilton County Income TaxRESOLUTION ~- 0 ~,- C) ~,-qSo OI A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CARMEL APPROVING AN ORDINANCE OF THE HAMILTON COUNTY INCOME TAX COUNCIL The City of Carmel Common Council, as the fiscal body of the City of Carmel, Indiana, hereby casts its 22.07 votes for the proposed Ordinance of the Hamilton County Income Tax Council, which reads as follows: ORDINANCE 1995 - 1 AN ORDINANCE OF THE HAMILTON COUNTY INCOME TAX COUNCIL REDUCING THE BALANCE OF HAMILTON COUNTY'S SPECIAL ACCOUNT PURSUANT TO INDIANA CODE 6-3.5 - 6-17.5 WITNESS THAT: WHEREAS, the Hamilton County Income Tax Council has approved an Ordinance Establishing a County Option Income Tax for Hamilton County, Indiana, under Indiana Code 6- 3.5 -6-1 et sequi.; and WHEREAS, the County Option Income Tax is collected by the Department of Revenue of the State of Indiana and the receipts thereof are distributed to the County pursuant to Indiana Code 6-3.5- 6-17; and, WHEREAS, the Indiana Department of Revenue presently holds a six (6) month balance in the special account of Hamilton County, Indiana; and, WHEREAS, Indiana Code 6-3.5 - 6-17.5 permits a County Income Tax Council to adopt an Ordinance to reduce the required six (6) months balance of a county's special account to a three (3) month balance. IT IS THEREBY ORDAINlED by the Hamilton County Income Tax Council as follows: The Hamilton County Income Tax Council elects to reduce the required county income tax special account balance from the six (6) month balance to a three (3) month balance. ALL OF WHICH IS ORDAINED by the Hamilton County Income Tax Council pursuant to law. This Ordinance is hereby approved by the Cannel City Council this of February, 1995. er day ATTEST:
