I'm writing you this letter to inform you of my public hearing about a pole barn garage I intend to build on my property. The coding states: According to UDO Section 5.02.B.3 Maximum Ground Floor Area: a. The combined square footage of the ground floor area of a private garage and/or accessory building shall not exceed seventy-five percent (75%) of the ground floor area of the principal building. b. A detached garage, which is the only accessory building on the lot, may equal the maximum dimensions of twenty-four (24) by thirty (30) feet provided that the ground floor area of the garage is less than or equal to the ground floor area of the principal building. My variation is to allow me to build an accessory building that shall be 24' x 36'. My variation is to allow me to exceed the 75% of the ground floor area. After completion of the accessory building, the current attached garage shall be converted into living space. This will increase the ground floor area from 24' x 48' to 24' x 68'.
