HomeMy WebLinkAboutPacket for HO 08-23-21August 2, 2021 Bacon Variance Request 24' x 36' Accessory Building This is a statement of work for the variance requested by Scott Bacon for a 24' x 36' accessory building. This building shall have pole barn construction. It will have a total peak height of 16'. It shall rest on a 4" reinforced concrete slab. It shall have a 16' x 10' overhead door. According to UDO Section 5.02.B.3 Maximum Ground Floor Area: a. The combined square footage of the ground floor area of a private garage and/or accessory building shall not exceed seventy-five percent (75%) of the ground floor area of the principal building. b. A detached garage, which is the only accessory building on the lot, may equal the maximum dimensions of twenty-four (24) by thirty (30) feet provided that the ground floor area of the garage is less than or equal to the ground floor area of the principal building. The variation is to allow Scott Bacon to build an accessory building that shall be 24' x 36'. The variation is to allow Scott Bacon to exceed the 75% of the ground floor area. After completion of the accessory building, the current attached garage shall be converted into living space. This will increase the ground floor area from 24' x 48' to 24' x 68'. August 9, 2021 Statement of Support 24' x 36' Accessory Building This is a statement of support with the work happening at 9637 Maple Drive Carmel, IN. The proposed building is 24' x 36' accessory building. It shall be a pole barn in construction. This variance is due to UDO Section 5.02B.3. After the accessory building is completed, the current garage of 24' x 20' shall be converted into living space. This is in conjunction with: According to UDO Section 5.02.B.3 Maximum Ground Floor Area: a.
