HomeMy WebLinkAboutBPW-04-15-91-02CCC Matern.Lv.RESOLUTION ARESOLUTION CORRECTING A SCRIVENERS ERROR IN THE COMMUNICATION CENTER MATERNITY LEAVE REGULATION. WHEREAS, the Camel Board of Public Works and Safety has promulgated rules and regulations for the City of Carmel Communication Center; and WHEREAS, there exist a scriveners errors in those rules and regulations regarding maternity leave; NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Carmel Communication Center Rules and Regulations are corrected to read as follows: 1.05.13 MATERNITY LEAVE Female telecommunicators may have up to ninety (90) days leave of absence, without pay, for the purpose of childbirth or adoption. Employees who fail to return to their job after one hundred twenty (120) days of absence, claimed under maternity leave, will lose all job benefits, other than COBRA, or other special benefits as provided by law, unless an extension of time for such leave is granted by the Board of Public Works & Safety. Upon approval of the Board of Public Works & Safety, group insurance benefits may continue while the employee is on leave; however, employees will be responsible for timely payment of those insurance premiums.
