HomeMy WebLinkAboutBPW-02-04-91-01Relat/Efficiency RESOLUTION ~ ~ · ~' ~' / A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING THE NEED FOR WORK ASSIGNMENTS/RELATIONSHIPS/EFFICIENCY WHEREAS, the Carmel Police Department needs to protect the efficient professional operation of the Department, or any of it's sub-divisions by regulating the work assignments of employees who are related to one another either by blood or marriage. NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Carmel that the Police Department be authorized to: Establish a policy regulating the work assignments of police department employees when those employees are related by blood or marriage. A. Family Members - It is the policy of the Carmel Police Department that employees closer than first cousins are not assigned the same work ~,,,,,: ,,- ' t. Married Employees - It is the policy of the Carmel Police Department that Carmel Police Department employees married to Carmel Police Department employees may not be assigned the Requests for special exceptio work assignment policies of the Department may only be approved by the Board of Public Works and Safety.
