A RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE TEMPORARY TRANSFER
OF CITY OF CARMEL PERSONAL PROPERTY TO THE
HAMILTON COUNTY PROBATION DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, I.C. 36-1-11-8 provides for the exchange of property
with a governmental entity; and
WHEREAS, the Carmel Board of Public Works and Safety has declared
certain personal property be surplusage; and
WHEREAS, a need exists by the County of Hamilton Probation
Department for certain office equipment;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Carmel Board of Public
Works and Safety that:
A. The Hamilton County Probation Department shall be entitled to
select such office furniture from the surplus declared by the Board of
Public Works for their temporary use.
B. That property which the Hamilton County Probation Department
desires to use shall be inventoried by item, number, and serial
number, if any, or descriptive entry, and a copy retained by each
entity for their public record.
C. The loan of furniture shall be for a period of ~/ months
at no cost. However, in the event any of the property in the custody
of the County is destroyed or damaged beyond repair, then the County
shall pay to the City reimbursement for the loss of that item or
items.
D. The County shall provide for the pick up of the personal
property it selects from the City and shall return the same to the
place designated by the Street Commissioner.
E. The term of this loan may be extended upon mutual agreement
of terms by the parties.
