HomeMy WebLinkAboutBPW-03-19-90-01Cloth/Equip Allo CITY OF CARMEL, INDIANA BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS & SAFETY RESOLUTXON NO. - / WHEREAS, Indiana Statute provides for the payment of Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00) clothing and equipment allowance to all City police officers who are required to furnish and maintain their uniform, clothing, arms and equipment; and WHEREAS, the City of Carmel imposes such requirements and pays, by Ordinance, up to Seven Hundred Fifty Dollars ($750.00) to police and firemen, and a lesser amount to civilian employees of the Police and Fire Departments; and WHEREAS, it has been determined by the Carmel Board of Public Works and Safety and prior policy that unspent monies by individuals entitled to a clothing or equipment allowance should be returned to the General Fund. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Carmel, Indiana, that any Carmel City Employee of either the Fire or Police Department who receives a clothing and equipment allowance will not be entitled to receive any cash difference between the amount of allowance spent and the amount unspent, rather, said funds shall be returned to the City of Carmel General Fund. All of which is resolved this day of March, 1990.
