Hollibaugh, Director L E T T E R of G R A N T August 24, 2021 Scott & Dawn Bacon 9637 Maple Drive Carmel, IN 46280 Re: BZA Docket No. PZ -2021-00143 V: Bacon Garage Size Variance Dear Mr. & Mrs. Bacon: At the meeting held Monday, August 23, 2021, the Carmel Board of Zoning Appeals Hearing Officer took the following action regarding the Development Standard Variance (V) filed by you for the property located at 9637 Maple Drive: APPROVED: Docket No. PZ-2021-00143 V, Development Standards Variance approval for Maximum 24’ x 30’ detached garage allowed, 24’ x 36’ granted (and total garage areas exceeding 75% of the ground floor area of the principal building). Please be advised that per Article 9.15 of the Unified Development Ordinance, the aforementioned Development Standards Variance approvals are valid for three (3) years. By that time, either continuous construction of the improvements must be underway, or a written request for a one-time, six-month extension of the approval must have been received and approval granted by this Department. The expiration date of the approval is August 23, 2024. Please include a copy of this letter with any permit application.
