HomeMy WebLinkAboutBPW-12-20-00-01 Health Ins.Rates RESOLUTION BPW 12-20-00-01 A RESOLUTION ADJUSTING EMPLOYER AND EMPLOYEE PREMIUM RATES FOR THE CITY OF CARMEL EMPLOYEE HEALTH BENEFIT PLAN WHEREAS, the primary source of revenue for the City of Carmel Employee Health Benefit Plan (the "Plan") consists of bi-weekly employer and employee premium contributions; and WHEREAS, health care costs are rising dramatically, a trend that is expected to continue into the foreseeable future; and WHEREAS, forecasted revenue for the Plan is currently insufficient to cover anticipated Plan claims and expenses; and WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works and Safety, as the Plan Administrator, is responsible for maintaining adequate current and reserve funding for the Plan. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Carreel Board of Public Works and Safety as follows: Effective January 1, 2001, health insurance premium rates for the City and its employees participating in the Plan will be as stated on Attachment A, incorporated herein by this reference.
