Cordray Cannel Clerk Treasurer 1 Civic Square Carmel, IN 46032 Re: Township Share of Coumy Supplement Dear Diana, This letter is to respect~dly request that a claim for reimbursement of the township 's share of the 1997 and 1998 county supplement of the Cornre. Cemer Director's salary be placed on the claim sheet for the next City Council meeting in the total amount of $18,000. I understand tliat the Finance Subcommittee has made a negative recommendation for reimbursement at this time. Perhaps some clarification would be helpful. Hamilton County has paid Cannel $45,000 per year for operating expenses for the salary of jim Kinder for county back-up services since 1997. Apparently that revenue was not taken in to account when operating costs were calculated and presented to the township for its share of the expenses in 1997 and 1998. The township was responsible for 20% of operating expenses of the Cornre. Center in 1997 and 1998. I understand that the books for those years are closed so the solution is to calculate the township's share of $45,000 each year, which is $9,000 per year for a total of $18,000 owed for the years 1997 and 1998. Thank you for making the correct calculation in determining the township's share of 1999 expenses. Sincerely, Cc: Township Board City Council rrrrr XNIBIT /Ae
