RESOLUTION NO. CC-01-14-03-01

A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARMEL, INDIANA,
REGARDING THE PURCHASE OF REAL ESTATE
WHEREAS, that certain Park Joinder Agreement Under Interlocal Cooperation Act entered into by
and between the City of Carmel, Indiana (the "City"), and the Trustee of Clay Township, Hamilton County,
Indiana (the "Township"), and dated July 30, 2002 and effective January 1, 2003 (the "Joinder Agreement"),
provides that the Common Council of the City and the Township Board are the fiscal bodies of the Carmel-
Clay Board of Parks and Recreation (the "Board"); and
WHEREAS, the Board owns in fee the approximately seventy five (75) acre-tract commonly known
as West Park ("Central Park"); and
WHEREAS, the Board has exercised its fight to purchase certain real estate comprising
approximately five (5) acres of Real Estate bordering the eastern boundary of West Park (the "Real Estate")
more particularly described on the attached Exhibit "A", incorporated herein by this reference; and
WHEREAS, the Park Board has requested that its fiscal bodies pass resolutions of interest pursuant to
Indiana law so that it may pursue the purchase of the Real Estate.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Carmel Common Council of the City of Carmel,
Indiana, that it is interested in the Park Board's purchase of the Real Estate described in Exhibit "A".
