Refer to manufacturers standard installation drawings for equipment connections and installation requirements as required. Fumish and install and ductwork, connections, accessories, offsets, and materials necessary to facilitate the system's functioning as indicated by the design and the equipment indicated. The Work shall be in accordance with local codes or ordinances and subject to inspection. COORDINATE with the Work of other Sections, equipment furnished by others, requirements of the Landlord, and with the constraints of the existing conditions of the Project Site. EXTRA STOCK: Provide two sets of replacement filters per each installed for all the rooftop units, and other equipment and devices, and provide a itemized list of the number, type required and where used. Obtain receipt form owner that these items have been delivered and accepted by the Owner's representative. ROOFTOP EQUIPMENT shall be furnished with integral insulated mounting curb(s), to comply with requirements of the roofing system and all accessories indicated in the rooftop unit schedule. Provide units to meet or exceed the capacities indicated. DUCT DIMENSIONS: Unless otherwise noted, duct dimensions on drawings are net inside clear dimensions on lined ducts or sheet metal dimensions on unlined ducts. SHEET METAL DUCTWORK: Sheet metal fabricated and installed to ASHRAE and SMACNA standards. Sheet metal shall be galvanized sheet steel of lock -forming quality, ASTM A-525. Unless otherwise noted, duct dimensions on drawings are net inside clear dimensions on lined ducts, or sheet metal dimensions on unlined ducts. All angle iron used for support shall be galvanized. Connections to walls or floors shall be airtight with angle iron and caulking. Seal all duct seams, transverse and longitudinal, air -tight. Provide turning vanes at all elbows or offsets exceeding 33 degrees. Line all supply, return, and make-up air with 1 /2" 3 lbs. density duct liner having a K factor of 0.23 075 F. Provide ASTM C916 liner adhesive and fasteners per SMACNA. TRAPEZE DUCT HANGERS: minimum 1" x 2" x 1" x 18 gage channels with 1" x 18 gage straps to structural support above. COMBUSTION EXHAUST SYSTEM: Provide all draft hoods, vent connectors, listed cops and type "B" flues necessary to vent the products of combustion from gas appliances shown on the plan. Comply with NFPA-54 for size and installation requirements, and local codes having jurisdiction. DUCT WRAP/ASJ INSULATION (on all supply, return, make up and round rigid sheetmetal ductwork): Provide 2" thick fiberglass ASJ ductwrap with vapor seal on all snap -lock and spiral sheetmetal above inaccessible ceiling. Conform to Federal Spec. HH - I - 5588 (amend. 3): Type 75: form B, type 1, class B-2. RiGID ROUND GALVANIZED DUCT: Shall be spiral or snaplock galvanized sheetmetal complying w/SMACNA. FLEX DUCT: Provide factory assembled class 1 air duct (UL 181) with 1" thick 1 PCF fiberglass insulation and reinforced outer protective cover / vapor barrier. Flex duct shall meet NFPA 90A with flame spread under 25, smoke developed under 50, and shall be rated for 2" w.g. pressure and 0 to 250 degree temperature. FLEXIBLE CONNECTOR: Where indicated provide U.L. labeled 30 oz neoprene coated fiberglass fabric duct connectors. KITCHEN HOOD EXHAUST DUCTWORK: Provide 16 gouge black iron ductwork. All joints and seams shall be welded liquid tight. All elbows shall be radius and the duct system shall be fabricated so as to have no dips, traps or pockets where grease can accumulate. Provide approved access panels for inspection and cleaning at all changes in direction, and to gain access to the bypass damper and fusible link where applicable. Insulate exterior of duct with insulation approved by local authority to provide for 3" clearance for duct enclosure. Provide fire rated access panels in the duct enclosure at all duct access panel locations. CEILING DIFFUSERS / RETURNS: Provide supply diffusers and damper in sizes, capacities, materials, and pattern indicated on the Drawings. ACCESS PANELS: Provide hinged access panels in ductwork where required for access to equipment. Provide insulated access doors in insulated ductwork. AUTOMATIC TEMPERATURE CONTROL: Provide for each HVAC unit a unit controller with remote sensor input. Controllers shall incorporate multiple stages of heat/cool as applicable with an auto changeover feature and have a setbakc module. Heating and cooling setpoints shall be operator adjustable. Contollers will be provided input from a single time clock through a setback/setup module. Whenever the hood is switched on, the fans on the HVAC units, make up air unit and kitchen exhaust fans shall start and the HVAC unit and make up air unit outdoor air dampers shall open to provide the minimum CFM of outdoor air specified. The space temperature shall continue to control heating and cooling while operating under this mode. Relays shall be provided to activate the fans of all units. When the hood switch is off, the fans will return to automatic operation. The make up air unit shall have a duct mounted sensor for input to its internal controls. This shall be set to maintain duct supply temperature at no less than 65F. The make up air unit shall operate whenever the hood is switched on and stop whenever the hood is switched off The toilet exhaust fan shall be wired directly to a circuit breaker and shall operate ontinuously. Provide where applicable, duct mounted supply and/or return air photoelectric type UL listed smoke detectors. Detectors shall be listed for the air velocities encountered. Provide interlock wiring to to provide for unit fan shut down. On activation of any detector all HVAC unit fans shall stop. Provide interlock wiring as required with Ansul Hood Fire Suppression System to shut down both the supply and exhaust fans that serve the hoods. Provide fan shut down relays for both the supply fan and exhaust fans in series with the hood switch. Wiring shall be in conduit from a point of connection indicated on the kitchen hood drawings. Wiring shall comply with Section 16400 requirements. The mechanical contrcctor shall provide a schematic diagram of the controls and submittals of the control components for approval. ROOF PENETRATIONS shall comply with SMACNA and NRCA standards. TEST AND ADJUST each piece of equipment and each system as required to assure proper balance and operation, follow NEBB and ASHRAE standards. Eliminate noise and vibration, and assure proper function of all controls, maintenance of temperature, and operation. Balance mechanical system, and submit completed test report to Construction Manager, prior to request for final payment. Balancing contractor shall be an independent contractor from HVAC installing contractor. Ali systems shall be balanced to within 5% of air volumes indicated.
