Whereas, the Clay Township Regional Waste District needs to
file an Application to the Indiana Department of
Commerce for a Community Improvement Program Grant
for the upsizing of Interceptor Sewers in the U.S.
EPA Grant Project so the Meridian Corridor Area will
have access for Sewer Service.
Whereas, the District cannot be an Applicant for the Grant
due to program guidelines but can be a participant
if the Application is filed on a joint basis with an
eligible Community.
Whereas, the City of Carmel is an eligible Community.
Now, therefore, the City of Carmel through its Board
of Public Works and Safety does hereby authorize
Honorable Jane Reiman, Mayor, City of Carmel, to
enter into an Agreement with the Clay Township
Regional Waste District to submit as Joint
Application with the District and for the City of
Carmel to be the lead agency in applying for the
Grant and the District will be responsible for
Administration of the Project.
