The plumbing system shall be installed according to State and Local Requirements, to assure a complete, safe and workable system. 2. P.V.C. schedule 40 may be used for waste and vent lines if acceptable to local governing codes. 3. Insulate hot and cold water lines with 3/8" "Armflex" insulation. 4. Hot and cold water supply piping shall be type "L" hard copper minimum. Use type "K" copper below ground. 5. All dimensions must be verified in the field. 6. Plumbing Contractor shall coordinate his work with all other trades to assure a complete, safe and workable system. 7. Plumbing Contractor shall coordinate location and provide the rough-in and final connection of any Owner supplied equipment. 8. All hot water supplies shall have temperature limiting controls, so that the water does not exceed 120 degrees. 9. Water conservation shall be in accordance with prevailing energy codes. 10. The Plumbing Contractor to furnish & install all electric water heaters. The Electric Contractor to wire all water heaters. 11. Where applicable, run water lines on warm side of insulation. 12. Shock arrestors to be installed on all hot & cold water supply lines, as required. 13. This contractor to verify all aspects of water & sewer service with the local utility company. 14. The Plumbing Contractor shall install floor drains with cleanouts to meet code requirements. Floor drains shall be chrome or brass finish top. Top of floor drains shall be level and even with floor. If floor drains installation is unacceptable to the Architect this Contractor shall repair at no extra cost to the Owner. 15. Any cutting and patching required by this Contractor to perform his work shall be done by this Contractor. Coordinate any curing and patching with General Contractor. 16. The plumbing contractor shall install the plumbing system as shown on the drawings. The system shall meet all state and local governing codes. Should the plumbing contractor desire to make any changes concerning the plumbing system, he shall be responsible to obtain approval of changes from the architect / engineer prior to making such changes. 17. Gas piping shall be by this Contractor. The installation and materials used shall be according to N.F.P.A. Standards covering such installations. Coordinate gas meter locations with local utility company requirements.
