BPW-08-30-05-01 A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING PRESENTATION OF PISTOL AND BADGE WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works of the City of Carmel is empowered by I.C. $ 36-1-11-6 to declare items of personal property surplus items, and; WHEREAS, pursuant to I.C. $ 36-1-11-6 single items valued at less than Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) or more than one (1) item, within estimated total value of less than One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) may be declared surplus items and then be sold or transferred without advertising in order to dispose of said surplus items, and; WHEREAS, the Police Deparmaent of the City of Carmel has certain items that are surplus property and that are valued at less than One Thousand dollars ($1,000.00) total, NOW, THEREFORE, be it hereby resolved by the Carmel Board of Public Works . & Safety as follows: I service pistol, valued at Four Hundred fifty-nine Dollar~ ($459.00) I duty shotgun, valued at Three Hundred ninety-five Dollars ($395.00) I badge, valued at Sixty-six Dollars ($66.00) The above mentioned surplus items may be presented upon retirement of John P. Etter, pursuant to the existing policy of the Carmel Police Department at the instruction of the Chief of Police. PistOl, Serial # DHK959US Carmel Police Department 'Major Badge As has been the custom and practice of the City and Department, these weapons will be presented to Major John: P..Etter whois retired from the Department, with over twenty-nine years of service ~o the Carmel community.
