REMOVE ALL DOORS, FRAMES AND ALL ASSOCIATED HARDWARE REMOVE EXISTING PLUMBING FIXTURES CAP BELOW FLOOR. REMOVE ALL EXISTING DISPLAYS, shelving, COUNTERS, ELECTRICAL AND P.O.S. DEVICES, HALF WALLS ETC. FROM AREA. ACCEPT FOR HALF ROUND WINDOW, EXISTING STOREFRONT GLAZING & FRAME SHALL BE REMOVED. PREP FOR NEW STOREFRONT GLAZING SYSTEM WITH POWER OPERATED. DOORS. REMOVE e.i.f.s. OR OTHERWISE PREP COL. FACE AS NEEDED TO ACCEPT STOREFRONT FRAMES. NOT USED. Remove ROUND canopy and all its structural & non-structural elements. Remove & DISCARD ALL FINISH CEILING & CEILING FRAMING ELEMENTS UNLESS REQUIRED FOR BUILDING STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY. SEE STRUCTURAL NOTES. REMOVE EXISTING CONCRETE STEPS FOR NEW VESTIBULE AND STEPS. REMOVE EXISTING WALL AND CABINETRY. REMOVE CONCRETE SLAB AS REQUIRED FOR NEW WORK. REMOVE EXISTING HANDRAILS. REMOVE ALL FLOOR COVERING, CLEAN & PREP CONC. FLOOR TO RECEIVE NEW FLOOR COVERING. REMOVE GYP BD UNDERSIDE OF HEADER AS NEEDED TO ATTACH NEW FEATURE WALL CONSTRUCTION. sEE EXTERIOR ELEVATIONS FOR WORK TO EXTERIOR "WAVE" CANOPY. THIS DRAWING IS ONLY A GRAPHIC REPRESENTATION AND IS NOT INTENDED TO BE SCALED FOR THE PURPOSE OF CONSTRUCTION, QUANTITY OR AREA. 2. ELECTRICAL TRADES CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR MAINTAINING CIRCUIT INTEGRITY TO ALL EXISTING LIGHTING, SWITCHES, RECEPTACLES, TELEPHONE, DATA, CLOCKS, SPEAKERS, EQUIPMENT, ETC., THAT IS TO REMAIN. 3. Remove all plumbing and piping to include but not limited to domestic, water\ distribution, natural gas distribution, above ground sanitary, above ground storm/rain conductors, ect. Contractor shall field verify all existing conditions and dimensions within area of work before proceeding with work. 2. contractor shall coordinate phasing of trades during course of work. 3. care to be given to existing finishes, fixtures, furnishings and materials to prevent damage during all stages of demolition. ALL EXISTING SURFACES AFFECTED BY DEMOLITION SHALL BE PATCHED, REPAIRED AND FINISHED AS REQUIRED TO MATCH ADJACENT CONDITION OR AS REQUIRED TO BE PREPARED FOR PROPOSED CONSTRUCTION. 4. EXTENT OF BUILDING AND SITE DEMOLITION IS INDICATED ON THE DRAWINGS, IT IS THE CONTRACTOR'S RESPONSIBILITY TO DETERMINE AND COORDINATE WITH THE OWNER; DEMOLITION PROCEDURES AND SEQUENCE, AND TO INSURE THE STABILITY AND SAFETY OF THE STRUCTURE AND ITS COMPONENT PARTS. 5. THE DEMOLITION CONTRACTOR SHALL BE LICENSED BY THE STATE OF Indiana AND BY LOCAL GOVERNING AUTHORITIES AS MAY BE REQUIRED. 6. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PROCURE ALL PERMITS AND RELEASES NECESSARY TO EXECUTE THE CONTRACT WORK. 7. UPON COMPLETION OF THE DEMOLITION OPERATIONS THE CONTRACTOR SHALL SECURE CERTIFICATION OF COMPLETION FROM ALL GOVERNING AUTHORITIES AND FORWARD ONE COPY OF EACH TO THE ARCHITECT/OWNER REPRESENTATIVE. 8. CONDUCT DEMOLITION TO MINIMIZE INTERFERENCE WITH ADJACENT STRUCTURES, MAINTAIN TEMPORARY PROTECTED EGRESS AND ACCESS AT ALL TIMES. 9. PROVIDE APPROPRIATE BARRICADES, SIGNAGE, AND OTHER SAFETY PRECAUTIONS SO AS TO PROTECT VISITORS, TRADESMAN, AND EXISTING REMAINING CONSTRUCTION. 10. CONDUCT OPERATIONS WITH MINIMUM INTERFERENCE TO PUBLIC OR PRIVATE THOROUGHFARES. 11. DO NOT CLOSE OR OBSTRUCT ROADWAY AND/OR SIDEWALKS WITHOUT PERMITS. 12. NOTIFY ADJACENT PROPERTY OWNERS OF WORK WHICH MAY AFFECT THEIR PROPERTY OF POTENTIAL NOISE OR DISRUPTION. 13. LOCATE, DISCONNECT, REMOVE AND/OR CAP ALL EXISTING UTILITY LINES BY MEANS APPROVED BY THE RESPECTIVE UTILITY COMPANY AND GOVERNING AUTHORITIES. RECORD UTILITY AND CAP LOCATIONS ON CONTRACTOR'S "AS-BUILT" DOCUMENTS. 14. DEMOLISH INDICATED STRUCTURES IN AN ORDERLY AND RESPONSIBLE MANNER. 15. VERIFY ALL CONDITIONS GOVERNING OR AFFECTING THE STRUCTURAL DEMOLITION WORK AND REPORT ALL CONDITIONS WHICH MAY INTERFERE OR AFFECT THE WORK. 16. WHERE EXISTING CONSTRUCTION IS TO BE ALTERED, PROVIDE TEMPORARY BRACING AND/OR SHORING AS REQUIRED UNTIL THE WORK IS SAFELY COMPLETED. IF THE STABILITY OF ADJACENT STRUCTURES APPEARS THREATENED OR IN DOUBT, CEASE OPERATIONS AND NOTIFY ARCHITECT/OWNER IMMEDIATELY, DO NOT RESUME OPERATIONS UNTIL CORRECTIVE MEASURES HAVE BEEN TAKEN. 17. CUT MEMBERS BY METHODS LEAST LIKELY TO DAMAGE THE MEMBERS TO BE RETAINED AND WORK ADJOINING. EXISTING CONSTRUCTION NOT UNDERGOING ALTERATION IS TO REMAIN UNDISTURBED AND PROTECTED FROM DAMAGE. WHERE SUCH CONSTRUCTION IS DISTURBED AS A RESULT OF THE OPERATIONS OF THIS CONTRACT, IT SHALL BE REPAIRED OR REPLACED BY THE CONTRACTOR AS REQUIRED AND TO THE SATISFACTION OF THE OWNER. 18. PROVIDE TEMPORARY PROTECTION TO PREVENT DAMAGE FROM THE WEATHER OR VANDALISM, AS WELL AS PROTECTION FOR THE GENERAL PUBLIC SO THAT THE OWNER'S BUSINESS OPERATIONS ARE MINIMALLY DISTURBED. IN ADDITION, PROVIDE TEMPORARY PROTECTION OF EXISTING EQUIPMENT DURING EXECUTION OF WORK. 19. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY THE EXISTENCE, LOCATION AND ELEVATION OF EXISTING UTILITY LINES IN DEMOLITION AREAS BEFORE PROCEEDING WITH THE WORK. ANY INTERFERENCE'S WITH DEMOLITION WORK SHALL BE REPORTED TO THE ARCHITECT/owner's representative. 20. PROVIDE FIRE WATCH DURING FIELD CUTTING AND WELDING OPERATIONS. EMPLOY ONLY SKILLED TRADESMEN TO PERFORM DEMOLITION WORK. DO NOT USE CUTTING TORCHES FOR REMOVAL OF WORK UNTIL WORK AREA IS CLEARED OF FLAMMABLE MATERIALS. 21. ALL DEMOLITION MATERIAL TO BE DISPOSED OF SHALL BE REMOVED BY THE CONTRACTOR FROM THE SITE AND DISPOSED OF IN A PROPER AND LEGAL MANNER. THE SELECTION OF THE DUMP SITE AND LEGAL DISPOSAL OF MATERIAL IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR. 22. DO NOT BURN OR BURY MATERIAL ON THE SITE. 23. ADJACENT STREETS AND DRIVES SHALL BE KEPT FREE OF WASTE MATERIALS RESULTING FROM TRUCKING, TRUCK BEDS SHALL BE TIGHT AND TRIMMED TO INSURE MINIMUM SPILLAGE. STREETS AND DRIVES SHALL BE CLEANED AS REQUIRED TO ELIMINATE Any DEBRIS DEPOSITED. 24. BACK FILL AREAS EXCAVATED, OPEN PITS, HOLES, AND TRENCHES THAT ARE A RESULT OF DEMOLITION WITH ENGINEERED FILL. BACK FILL MATERIAL SHALL BE GRANULAR MATERIAL WITH NO MORE THAT 15 PERCENT SILT AND CLAY COMBINED. 25. ENGINEERED FILL: COMPACT FILL TO 95 PERCENT OF MAXIMUM DRY DENSITY AS DETERMINED BY STM-1557 (MOD PROCTOR) PLACE BACK FILL AND FILL MATERIALS IN LAYERS NOT MORE THAN 9 INCHES IN LOOSE DEPTH FOR MATERIALS COMPACTED BY HEAVY CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT, AND NOT MORE THAN 4 INCHES IN LOOSE DEPTH FOR MATERIAL COMPACTED BY HAND-OPERATED TAMPERS. 26. DEMOLITION CONTRACTORS SHALL MAKE ARRANGEMENTS TO WALK THROUGH EXISTING STRUCTURES PRIOR TO SUBMITTING BID TO GENERAL CONTRACTOR. NO EXTRAS SHALL BE ALLOWED FOR DEMOLITION WORK. 27. electrical contractor shall provide temporary power and lighting coordinate with general contractor. 28. do not use explosives or unsafe demolition methods. 29.
