ORDINANCE D-1779-05
AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARMEL~ INDIANA~
ESTABLISHING CERTAIN STOP AND YIELD SIGNS
WHEREAS, the City of Carmel, Indiana, hat the authority to establish stop and yield
intersections pursuant to Cannel City Code Chapter 8, Article 4, Section 8-30(a), which stop and yield
intersections are listed on "Schedule A", which has been codified as City Code Section 8-120; and
WHEREAS, upon the recommendation of the Director of the City's Street Department, the
Common Council desires to amend "Schedule A" to create certain new stop and yield intersections and to
remove others.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the Common Council of the City of Cannel,
Indiana, as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing Recitals are fully incorporated herein by this reference.
Section 2. Pursuant to Cannel City Code Section 8-30(a), "Schedule A", co'lifted as City Code
Section 8-120, shall be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
Add:
STREETNAME
DIRECTION OF TRAVEL SIGN
iNTERSECTING STREET
Mae Drive North Stop Woodfield Drive North
Mae Drive South Stop Woodfield Drive
Longstone Roundabout East Stop Woodfield Drive
Towne Road North 4-way stop 141st Street
Towne Road South 4-way stop 141s~ Street
Section 3. The Street Department is directed to promptly install appropriate signage consistent
with this request.
Section 4. All other current provisions of City Code Sections 8-30(a) and 8-120 shall remain in
full force and effect and are not affected by this Ordinance.
Section 5. All prior ordinances or parts thereof inconsistent with any provision of this Ordinance
are hereby repealed, to the extent of such inconsistency only, as of the effective date of this Ordinance.
However, the repeal or amendment by this Ordinance of any other ordinance does not affect any rights or
liabilities accrued, penalties incurred or proceedings begun prior to the effective date of this Ordinance.
Those right§, liabilities and proceedings are continued and penalties shall be imposed and enforced under
such repealed or amended ordinance as if this Ordinance had not been adopted.

Section 6. If any portion of this Ordinance is for any reason declared to be unconstitutional or
invalid, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this Ordinance so long as
enforcement of same can be given the same effect.
Section 7. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and signing
by the Mayor.
PASSED by the Common Council of the City of Carmel, Indiana, this ] 77'~'day of
