Board met to hear objections to assessment roll on ~ollege Ave.
Wm. Small end Frank Eskew were present an~ ob~ecte~ to
the condition in v~hich the contractor le"t the s+re~t
of their resldehces, claimin~ that dirt hsd been leer in the street
and prevented the water ~rom ~ettin~ away, Dunnin~ Mall was,
selected to superintend the removiuK oe the ~frt.
Nicholas Quick was also present and objected to paying his
assessment on the grounds that walk had cracked. ~r Muffine the
contractor not being present to give assurances that he would
make good the defects in the walk %he a~e~adoptlon
t e~assement roll was deferred.
~A Levy of .~0~ on the ~lO0.O0 dollars for Carmel Corporatio~
and .~ on each ~100.00 for library purposes was made and the
clerk was ordered to notiey the County Auditor to that eefect.~

It was moved by Daubenspga~ and seconded by gohnson
that assessment roll on brick s~reet be adopte~ as elna] with
the exception that/I.U.T.OO's assessment on paving between
tracks be reduoed~Z2.50, there being no provision in said eon
franchise to the effect that they shall improve their tracks
out of the same material of which the street is improved.
The motion was carried by the followih yea and nay vote,
