In buildings required to have standpipes by Section 905.3.1, not less than one standpipe shall be provided for use during construction. Such standpipes shall be installed when the progress of construction is not more than 40 feet (12 192 mm) in height above the lowest level of fire department vehicle access. Such standpipe shall be provided with fire department hose connections at accessible locations adjacent to usable stairs. Such standpipes shall be extended as construction progresses to within one floor of the highest point of construction having secured decking or flooring. Contractor to comply with code and provide equipment as specified with in the code · In each room used for sleeping purposes. Exception: Single- or multiple-station smoke alarms in Group I-1 shall not be required where smoke detectors are provided in the sleeping rooms as part of an automatic smoke detection system. All fire alarm systems will be designed to meet each building group and type and will be submitted to the State of Indiana and CFD for review and approval. · A full fire alarm system shall be installed as required by section 907.2.9 of the Indiana Fire Code. No fire alarm information was not provided in the submitted plans. Elevators will accommodate an ambulance cot. · Per IFC section 3312.1 Fire Hydrants shall be fully functional tested and approved prior to any combustible materials arriving on the construction site. It is my understanding that some existing hydrants on 126th suffice initial requirements. All newly installed hydrants will be tested and approved as the project moves forward. · Per IFC section 503 fire department vehicle access shall be maintained to existing structures at all times. Contractor understands this requirement and will work with and communicate with CFD through the project and construction of each subsequent condo building. · Fire Alarm and Fire sprinkler plans shall be submitted to CFD once available. Contractor will submit drawings as soon as they are available for CFD review and approval. · 716 Pawnee drive should be listed as Building 4 in Project dox.
