The Board met at the library at 8 o'clock ~ith the follow-
ina members ~resent: Jsmes, Nutt, ~. E. small, John Lee and Isaac

Cyrus Jeffries was present and asked the board to gravel
Hmunner street, with the understanding that he would grade the
street and ~ut in sewer pipe without cost to the tovm~
The board voted unanimously for the im~?rovement as per the
conditions stated above anm instructed Hr; Jeffries ~o proceed
at once;
The following claims were allowed:
Traction Light & Dower Co., light
Perry ~orrow, street work ............ ~ ........ ~ 9.00
Allen A. ~ilkinson Lumber Co., mdse ........... 1~.90

The meeting was continued over.

Town attorney Patty was presenf;
Ninutes of the previous meeting were read and approved~
It was unanimously decided by the Board .to employ walla
Eoufon for hauling for the corporation for ~6.50 per day~
0sear Zpplegate was named by the Beard to have charge
of additional dfstribution of cinders on the streets of the
town~
The following resolution was passed by the Board by a
yea ~nd nay vote. ~'

Be it Resolved, By the~Board of Trustees of,Carmel Corpo-
ration, that the Olerk-Treasurer be emoowered to secure a loan
~ to meet tem'orary expenses in the event that the June ap-
portionment oan not be seoured by ~atur~y, June 4, l!~l.
The loan to be in the amount of ~ES0.00;
