Regular meeting was called to order at 7:00 ~P.M. The minutes of the
previous meetings were read and approved. ~.- ~ ~ '~-~ - ~'. -
Mr.Thornberry of Carmel Screw Co. was present, and recuested permission
to carry cement pave~mmnt across the alley behind his mfg.plant.~He said any
expense in future of breaking the slab, would be born by Carmel ocrew Co. ~
They would also remove slab if necessary in the future.
The following bills were approved for payment on motion by Mr. Zinsmeister
and seconded by Mt. Buckles. Motion carried.

An ordinance for annexing a p~tion in the north east eect~n adjacent to
Cm~m~l, was read by Attorney Gordon (original attached hereto) on motion
by Mt. Buckles ,seconded by Mr. Zinsmeister, and carried. The ordinance
was adopted.
Mt.Roy Feaster was present and requested that weeds be cut back of the
Miller lot. It was agreed to cut the weeds.
The Town Clerk was authorized to have two abstracts compleamd also to
pay ~6.50~old Court costs to County Clerk. It was moved by Mr. Zinsmeister
and seconded by Mr. Buckles~and carried.
There was some discussion on the cost of installing a water main on
the purchase
First A~e.B.E.. It was moved by ~r. Zinsmeister to authorize
Trustees

The President explained that new meters were required and it was decided
to buy fifteen (I5) additional new meters on motion by Mr.Hinshaw and
seconded by Mt. Buckles. Carried.
There was some discussion of the Fire Dept.Budget as affects the Town
employes;also regarding a Town Marshall and the duties of Town employes.
Mr. Zinsmeister suggested that the Board~ set a date for advertising bids
for the water project.
A motion made by Mr. Zinsmeister and seconded by Mr. Hinshaw was that the
Board advertise to open bids on Nov. I2th, I954~for the water project. The
Board reserves the right to reject any or all o~ these bids. Motion carried.
A motion wa~ made by Mr. Minshaw, and seconded by Mr.Buckles. that the Bo~rd
advertise for ~ 750 ft. of 2~ inch Hose and 400 ft. of I½ inch Hose,
specification on file with the Clerk Treasurer, and the Board reserves the
right to reject any and all bids;the opening of the bids on Nov. Ist.
It was agreed that the next reEular meeting, will be Nov.Ist, instead of
Tuesday the 2nd which is Election day.
