Charles Compton was chosen as temporary secretary, and the application of Edgar Cotton and Florence Jewett were read. R. J. Foli. ett was an applicant in person and upon the reading of Mrs. Jewett~s application, withdrew in favor of Mrs. Jewett. Pfotenhauer made a motion that ~rs. Jewett be selected~ unanimous, y.t~-) ~mp. Secy. April 7, 1936 The board met at the City Hall at 7:30 P.M. with all members present. The minutes of last meeting were read and approved. The following bills were allowed: Noel Adams State of Indiana Neptune meter Co. Robert C. Deardorf Crane Co. Northern Indiana Power Co. Clayton Day W. A. Benzie Minnie R. Adams report- ed that Jim Doty had offered a dumping ground free of charge. A d~scision was deferred to next meeting. Bias for trucking are to made by the hour. Parking, conjestion of main streets of Carmel~ and plans for a meeting of the ousiness men to help solve said problem were discusse~. Pre~. Jefferies 1.00 " , Applegate moved, Compton seconded to give the con- tract to the lowest bidder--vote was unanimous. May 14, 1936 was the day set for clean up. The clerk was instructe~ to have prepared and distributed bills announcing the same. The dump- ing lot will be on J. F. Doty,s property. The clerk was instructed to order duplicate check blanks to be used for the town business. There being no further business the meeting adjourned. ~ oecy. Acting Chrm.
