At a r~gular meeting of the Boarm of Finance with all members
present the following resolution was make: The Boara of Finance
of the Town of Carmel resolves that the proposal of Un[on 13tate
Bank datea Feb. 1S~ 1987 be ana it hereby is accepted ana said
Bank or trust company hereby is aesignated as a aepositoy, under
the lasw of the State of Inmiana, including the ~epo~itory ~ct
of 1937, for the followin,~g i!iu~i~pal C~rporation~: Corporation
of Carmel, Carmel ~'~ater ~
There being no further business the ~eeting aa~ourned.

The Carmel Town Board met in regular session in the City
Hall at 7:30. Ail mambers present except Lamb. The minutes
of last meeting were reae and amopte~, oam Jones was present

property is stoppe~. The Street Comn~issioner was instructem
to investigate the situation anm see what needs to be done.
Rue Hinshaw presentea the report of the auaitors for the
clerks books to the Boara. The clerk was instructea to purchase
the prescribed forms for water consumers as recom~endem by the
auditors. Howar~ L~ncaster~s request for an annual meter read-
ing for ~,ater pipea into his yara v~as aeniea.

The Carmel Town Boaru met in regular session in the town
builaing at 7:30~with all members present except ~pplegate.
The minutes of last meeting were reaa aha adppteu. A rep-
resentative from the ~tate Boara of Health was present an~
declared the open ditch on Gray ~treet to be injurious to public
health and presented a choice of proceedure for attacking this
problem. The Board requestea him to sene us information con-
cerning assess£ng property revertem to the Gov. before any act-
ion toward financing a aitch was attenptea by the Town.
~r. Hasten of the Oonaing Co. was present anm wishea to make a
settlement on the ~.B. Claypoon bona, but as the report from
the State Board of accounts was not very clear or unuerstood
it was deciaem to wait until later to settle. Clean up u'eek was
discusse~ anm Mr. Amams was instructea to contact the men with
trucks and make arrangements for a clean up the week of May 16~
the exact mate to be later announceu on hana bills, zr..~aams
was instructeu to fill u~ the catch basin on N. ~illow ~. until
sufficient funas permittea a proper arain [nstalle~. The

The Carmel Town Board met in the city hall at 8:00 with all
members present except Hinsh~w. Frea Pfotenhauer was elected to
preside in t~e absence of the presiuent. The minutes of last
meeting v;ere ream anu aappted. Dr. ~onahu% Town Health Officer
was present aha reaa a lett~r from the ~tate Boara of Health
conc~r~ing the open arain of Gray Yr. £he clerk was or~erea
to notify property owners effectea of a ~:pecial meeting on
Freuay June 4, 1937 to uetermine on a course of action. The
clerk was oraerem to write the Traction 0o. to fill in the holes
and repair crossing in right of was on ~iltow St. The following
