Geo Vogenberger was elected to preside in the absence of the president. The object of the meeting was to determine a method of action to eleminate the health menance caused by the open drain on Gray :it. in compliance with an or~er from the state Board of Health. In responce to a letter from the clerk the following persons ~ere present: Lucy ~illiams~ £iarrel matlin, ~ustin ~ona, Floyd Horton, Fred ~trattan and being notified Dy Mr. ~trattan, ~[r. Thomas also came.~: The Clerk ream the letter from the .~tate Doara of Health and ~r. =dams presented an estimate of the cost of placing a ten inch tile from t~e autlet on~ray St. to the county ditch on willow ot. Fred ~trattan suffestea and all those present agreed to each deposit ~15.00 in a fund and proceed with the work as soon as all deposits are in. They requested the Board to act as their agents~ Mr Adams to super- intend the work, and the clerk was instructed to contact Wm Faust, attorney for the Booth Estate,~ane ~avia ?uckett~ administrator for the Puckett estate. There being no further business the meeting aajournem. ' ~/ ~ e y. Pres. pro tem July 6~ 19~7 The Carmel Town Boara met in the city hall at 8:00 with all members present except Hinshaw. Frem Pfotenhauer was elected to act as chairman. The minutes of the last meeting were read and adopted. A price of ~2.50 minimum charge was fixed for flush- ing a ditch, additional charges left to the juagememt ~,f the water superintendent. ~protest against burning garbage on the vacant lot on N. Main between the drug store and hatchery was read. The Froteating parties zere a~viseu to contact th~ Masonic Lodge and request them to prohioit burning and mumping on their lot. Seconded and carried. Bob Follett was present and asked the boa~d to dispose of a viseious dog which was annoying the neighborhood. The clark was instructed to ~ri~e and ask the prosecutor what action might be taken against a person harborin~ a vise&ous dog.
