A letter from Thomas D. Pierce regarding the refinancing
of the Water Co. was reported and filed. The third Wednesday
in May was designated for the annual town clean up. An order
for the printing of 225 notices to be given the Booster. These
notices to be distributed by two local boys. Resurfacing the
streets was discussed and the president offered to get prices
and call a special meet~.ng to report. P lane for painting the
inside of the water tank were discussed and no conclusion was
reached. The meeting was carried oven

The Carmel Town Board met in the city hall at 8:00 with
all members present except Lamb and Applegate. The minutes of
the last meeting were read and adopted. The following bills
were allowed:

A contract was entered into with the Mid-state Steeplejack
Co. for the painting of the inside of the water tank. Vogen-
berger moved that the clerk write a letter to the State Board
of Accounts for a final settlement with th~-~bonding compan~
Seconded and carried. The meeting was ~drr,~e~ ov~r.

all members present except Pfote~auer. ~e minutes of the last
meeting were read and adopted. Mrs. Dessie Hershey was present
a~ complained of a ditch stop~agethat caused her basement to
flood and of a catch basin in front of her house that did not
car~ away the street water. ~e president ordered the Street
CoElssioner to repair the ditch. The following bills were allowed:

The clerk was instructed to pay interest and ameliorate the
st&ck due at this time. Vogneberger moved to publish a notice
in the Noblesville Daily Ledger explaining the delay of dis-
posal of trash. Seconded and carried. Lamb moved to install
new lights as petitioned in petitions 3,4, and 5. Seconded
and carried. Applegate moved that Thompson be ordered to
claean the side walks around his building on the eor~er of E.
Nmin st and 431. Seconded and carried. The meeting was
carried over.
