AN ORD'rNANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARMEL,
INDIANA, PROV/D;NG FOR AN ADD*ET~ONAL APPROPP~AT~ON FROM
THE GENERAL FUND
WHEREAS, the Carmel City Court has the need to continue paying for
maintenance contracts for its older computers in additional to the maintenance
contracts for its newer computers: and has the need to increase the amount
previously budgeted to pay for Interpreter fees; and
WHEREAS, the 2000 Annual Budget for the Carmel City Court does not
include monies to cover the maintenance contracts since it did not anticipate the
continuing need to use the older computers; and
WHEREAS, the 2000 Annual Budget for the Carreel City Court does not
include the monies needed for Interpreter fees as projected based on the
expenses for interpreters incurred thus far this year; and
WHEREAS, the Clerk-Treasurer has determined that the deduction from the
City's General Fund, as set forth below, will leave said fund a sufficient remaining
cash balance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of
Carmel, Indiana, that for the expenses of the taxing unit the following additional
sums of money are hereby appropriated out of the 2000 General Fund and for
the purposes specified, subject to the laws governing the same as follows:

LINE ITEM # 419.54 - Interpreter Fees $4000.00
LINE ITEM # 515.01 - Maintenance Contracts $2655.00

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
FOR ADDITIONAL
APPROPRIATION
from the
GENERAL FUND
Notice is hereby given to the taxpayers of the City of Cannel, Hamilton County,
Indiana, that the proper legal officers of the City of Carmel, at their regular
meeting place at Carmel City Hall, One Civic Square, Council Chambers at
7 p.m. on the 19th day of June 2000, will consider the following appropriation in
excess of the budget for 2000:
$6,655.00
from
the
GENERAL FUND
to
CARMEL CITY COURT BUDGET
LINE ITEM 419.54 - INTERPRETER FEES $4,000
LINE ITEM 515.01 r MAINTENANCE CONTRACTS $2,655
The above to be used for unanticipated expenses.
The source of revenue for the above is the operating balance of the
General Fund.
Taxpayers appearing at the meeting shall have a right to be heard. The additional
appropriation as finally made will be referred to the State Board of Tax
Commissioners. The Board will make a written determination as to the
sufficiency of funds within fifteen (15) days of receipt of a certified copy of the
action taken.
