AN ORDINANCE FIXING SALARIES OF APPOINTED OFFICERS
AND EMPLOYEES OF THE CARMEL CITY COURT
CARMEL, INDIANA FOR THE YEAR 2000
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARMEL,
INDIANA THAT:
Section 1.
Definition/Explanation:
a: BW shall mean Bi-Weekly
b. WK shall mean Weekly
c. HR shall mean Hourly
TO THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARMEL, INDIANA
As required by the Indiana Code, it is requested that the maximum salaries and pay schedule of
appointed officers and employees of the Cannel City Court, Carmel, Indiana be established beginning
December 25, 1999 and continuing thereafter until December 25, 2000 and that such salary rates be
approved by the Common Council and:

UP TO MAXIMUM SALARY OF BW

UP TO $20.00 PER HOUR
UP TO $12.50 PER HOUR
Section 2. Full-time employees of City Court shall receive $150.00 per year above their
regular salary for longevity. Terms and conditions of longevity pay shall conform to the City' s most
current rules and regulations as adopted by the Carreel Common Council.
Section 3. Except as otherwise specifically provided herein, part-time and temporary
employees, as distinguished from those in the full-time employ of the City of Carmel, shall be paid only
by the department of hire and only from the part-time/temporary line item as set forth in this section.
Section 4. Each Court employee who is required to work on a declared holiday, whether on a
scheduled or unscheduled basis, shall receive ten dollars ($10.00) per hour premium pay for each hour
actually worked on the holiday. Such premium shall be calculated to the nearest quarter hour.
