AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE SALARIES
OF THE APPOINTED OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES
OF THE CITY OF CARMEL, INDIAN&
CLERK-TREASURER FOR THE YEAR 1999
(AS AMENDED FROM ORIGINAL ORDINANCE D-1380-98)
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARMEL,
INDIAN& THAT:
Section 1.
Definition/Explanation
a. BW shall mean Bi-Weekly
b. WK shall mean Weekly
c. HR shall mean Hourly
TO THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARMEL, INDIANA
As required by Indiana Code IC 36-4-7-3(d), it is requested the maximum salaries
and pay schedule of appointed officers and employees of the City of Carreel, Clerk-
Treasurer, Carreel, Indiana, be established beginning December 26, 1998, and continuing
until December 24, 1999, and that such salary rates be approved by the Common council
and:
That ordinance D-1380-98 of the Common City Code is hereby amended as follows:

CLERK-TREASURER
DEPUTY CLERK/SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR/
SENIOR FINANCIAL ADVISOR
DEPUTY CLERK/PAYROLL ADMINISTRATOR
DEPUTY CLERK-TREASURER
PART-TIME/TEMPORARY

UP TO 12.50 PER HOUR
Section 2. Full-time employees of the Clerk-Treasurer' s Office shall receive
$150.00 per year above their regular salary for longevity. Terms and conditions of
longevity pay shall conform to the City' s most current rules and regulations as adopted by
the Carreel Common Council.
Section 3. Except as otherwise specifically provided herein, part-time and
temporary employees, as distinguished from those in the full-time employ of the City of
Carmel, shall be paid only by the department of hire and only from the part-
time/temporary line item as set forth in this section.
Section 4. Each employee of the Clerk-Treasurer's office who is required to
work on a declared holiday, whether on a scheduled or unscheduled basis, shall receive ten
dollars ($10.00) per hour premium pay for each hour actually worked on the holiday.
Such premium shall be calculated to the nearest quarter hour.
