AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARMEL, INDIANA,
AMENDING CARMEL CITY CODE SECTION 2-105,
PETTY CASH FUNDS FOR CITY DEPARTMENTS
WHEREAS, Carmel City Code Chapter 2, Article 4, Section 2-105, establishes petty cash funds
for the City' s various departments; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has requested the establishment of a change fund in the amount of
Twenty-Five Dollars ($25.00) so that it may charge the general public for photocopies made in its office
and a petty cash fund in the amount of Twenty-Five Dollars ($25.00) to pay for small or emergency
operating expenses.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Carmel,
Indiana, as follows:
Section 1. That Carmel City Code Chapter 2, Article 4, Section 2-105(a) be amended to add a new
subsection (9), which shall read as follows:
"9. Engineering Departmere:
Change:
Petty Cash:
Up to Twenty-Five Dollars ($25.00)
Up to Twenty-Five Dollars ($25.00)
Section 2. All prior ordinance or parts thereof that are inconsistent with any of the provisions of
this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage,
signing by the Mayor and such publication as is required by law.
PASSED by the Comm Council of the City of Carmel, Indiana, this o9,~ day
