D-1352-98 Sewer CreditsORDINANCE
AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CARMEL, INDIANA, AMENDING CHAPTER 9,
ARTICLE 3, DIVISION III, SECTION 9-126
OF THE CARMEL CITY CODE
WHEREAS, the regulation of connections to the City' s sewage system is necessary for the safety
and welfare of the citizens of the City of Carreel, Indiana; and
WHEREAS, the current provisions of the Carrnel City Code providing credits for correcting and
removing private inflow/infiltration waters from the City's sanitary sewer system expire on
December 31, 1997, and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City and its citizens to continue the provision of such
credits in order to encourage the correction and removal of private inflow/infiltration waters from
the City's sanitary sewer system.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Cannel, Indiana,
that Section 9-126 (h) (11) of the City Code be and the same is hereby amended read as follows:
"( 11 ) All provisions herein relative to credits for correcting
inflow/infiltration will expire on December 31, 2000."
All prior Ordinances or parts thereof that are inconsistent with any provision of this Ordinance are
hereby repealed·
This Ordinance shall be in full force effect from and after the date of its passage, execution by the
Mayor, and publication in accordance with State statute.
