AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE SALARIES
OF THE APPOINTED OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES
OF THE CITY OF CARMEL, INDIANA,
CLERK-TREASURER FOR THE YEAR 1998
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARMEL, INDIANA,
THAT:
Section 1.
Definition/Explanation
a. BW shall mean Bi-Weekly
b. HR shall mean Hourly
TO THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARMEL, INDIANA
As required by Indiana Code IC 36-4-7-3(d), the maximum salaries and pay schedule of appointed
officers an employees of the City of Carmel, Clerk-Treasurer, Carmel, Indiana, beginning December
27, 1997, and continuing thereafter until December 25, 1998, and request that such salary rates be
approved by the Common council as follows:

UP TO $12.50 PER HOUR
Section 2. Employees of the Clerk-Treasurer's Office shall receive one hundred and fifty dollars ($150.00)
per year above their salary for longevity. An employee must have been in the full and continuous employ of
the City of Carmel a minimum of six months during a year to receive the first year's credit of longevity
remuneration. After the first year, the longevity shall be added to their above salaries on an individual basis at
a rate of $150.00 per year up to twenty (20) years. Terms an conditions of the longevity shall conform to the
City' s most current personnel rules and regulations as adopted by the Carmel City Council.
