AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE SALARIES OF THE
APPOINTED OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES OF THE
CITY OF CARMEL, INDIANA
CLERK-TREASURER FOR THE YEAR 1997
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARIV[EL, INDIANA, THAT:
Section 1. Definition/Explanation:
a. BW shall mean Bi-Weeily
b. HR shall mean Hou~y
TO THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARMEL, INDIANA
As required by Indiana Code IC 364-7-3(d), the maximum salaries and pay schedule of appointed
officers and employees of the City of Cannel, Clerk-Treasurer, Caxmel, Indiana beginning December 28,
1996 and continuing thereafter until December 26, 1997 and request that such salary rates be approved by
the Conunon Council as follows:

Section 2. Employees of the Clerk-Treasurer's Office shall receive one hundred and fifty dollars
($150.00) per year above their salary for longevity. An employee must have been in the full and
continuous employ of the City of Cannel a minimum of six months during a year to receive the first year' s
credit of longevity remuneration. After the first year, the longevity shall be added to their above salaries on
an individual basis at a rate of $150.00 per year up to twenty (20) years. Terms and conditions of the
longevity shall conform to the City' s most current personnel rules and regulations as adopted by the Cannel
City Council.
Section 3. That all employees of th~ Clork-Tr~asur~r' soffic, c who work on a holiday shall receive
overtime in excess of forty (40) hours and the choice of either seventy five dollars ($75.00) or a
c, anpev-satory day off for that holiday shift which encompasses the 8:00 a.m. until midnight portion of that
holiday.
Section 4. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and
approval according to law.
