HomeMy WebLinkAboutD-1178 Add Approp/ CCAN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE FUNDS FROM THE GENERAL FUND #101 WHEREAS, it has been determined that it is necessary to appropriate more money than was appropriated in the annual budget; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Carmel, Hamilton County, Indiana, that for the expenses of said municipal corporation the following additional sum of money is hereby appropriated and ordered set apart out of the funds herein named and for the purposes herein specified, subject to the laws governing same: General Fund #101 $4,267,100 To City Council Account #590, Special Projects $4,267,100 For the City of Carmel's share of the construction and right-of-way purchases of 96th Street from Lakeshore Drive East to Interstate 69. WHEREAS, this amount is in excess of the current determined cost of $3,867,100. The additional sum of $400,000 is Ito allow for contingencies which may occur during construction. However, if these funds are not needed for that purpose, they must be returned to the General Fund #101 and set aside to reduce the tax rate at some future date after completion of the project. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage.
