HomeMy WebLinkAboutD-1086 CT/Courts SalariesORDINANCE D-1086 AN ORDINANCE FIXING SALARIES OF APPOINTED OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF CARMEL, INDIANA CLERK-TREASURER AND COURT FOR THE YEAR OF 1995 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARMEL, INDIANA, THAT: Section 1. a. HR Definition/Explanation: shall mean Bi-Weekly shall mean Weekly shall mean Hourly TO THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARMEL, INDIANA As required by Indiana Code, the maximum salaries and pay schedule of appointed officers and employees of the City of Carmel Court and City of Carmel Clerk-Treasurer, Carmel, Indiana beginning December 31, 1994 and continuing thereafter until December 29, 1995 and request that such salary rates be approved by the Common Council as follows: DEPARTMENT & POSITION UP TO A MAXIMUM SALARY OF BW CITY COURT CLERK OF COURT/ADMINISTRATOR ASSISTANT COURT CLERK BAILIFF ASSISTANT PART-TIME CLERK 1084.11 1084.11 UP TO $20.00 PER HOUR UP TO $10.00 PER HOUR CLERK-TREASURER PAYROLL ADMINISTRATOR ACCOUNTS PAYABLE ADMINISTRATOR DEPUTY CLERK-TREASURER PART-TIME/TEMPORARY 1084.11 1084.11 1084.11 UP TO $10.00 HR Section 2. Employees of the Court and Clerk-Treasurer's Office shall receive one hundred and fifty dollars ($150.00) per year for longevity. That an employee must have been in the full and continuous employ of the City of Carmel a minimum of six months during a year to receive the first year's credit on longevity remuneration after the first year, the longevity shall be added to their above salaries on an individual basis at a rate of $150.00 per year up to twenty years. Terms and conditions of the longevity shall conform to the City's most current personnel rules and regulations as adopted by the Carmel City Council. Section 3. That all employees of the City Court and Clerk- Treasurer's office who work a holiday shall receive overtime in excess of forty hours and the choice of either Seventy Five Dollars ($75.00) or a compensatory day off for that holiday shift which encompasses the 8:00 a.m. until midnight portion of that holiday. Section 4. That Part-Time Employees, as distinguished from those in the full employ of the City Court and Clerk-Treasurer, shall only be paid in accordance with the Part-Time per hour compensation and only in the office of hire from a part-time line item as set forth in this ordinance. Section 5. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approve according to law.
