AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CARMEL, INDIANA, AMENDING CHAPTER 9,
ARTICLE 2, SECTION 9-43, OF THE
CARMEL CITY CODE ENTITLED
"TRANSFER OF CONNECTION FEES."
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Carmel, Indiana has
determined that Chapter 9, Article 2, Section 9-43 which deals with
utility deposits should be amended;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL, OF THE
CITY OF CARMEL, INDIANA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section I. Chapter 9, Article 2, Section 9-43, of the Carmel
City Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
Sec. 9-43. Transfer of Connection Fees.
The policy addressing connection fees of customers
of the Utilities of the City of Carmel shall be as
follows:
(a) In the event said customers move within the
corporate boundaries of the City of Carmel thus
remaining as a continuous customer any and all
connection fees therefore paid to the City Utility
office shall be transferred and no additional
connection fee will be charged unless the first
location bills have not been paid in full within sixty
(60) days of the billing date.
(b) If a customer's utility bill has not been
paid in full at their original location, water service
will be disconnected or not connected at the second
location.
Section II. All prior Ordinances, resolutions or parts thereof
inconsistent with any provision of this Ordinance are hereby
repealed.
Section III. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and signing by the Mayor.
