AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CARMEL, INDIANA, AMENDING CHAPTER 9,
ARTICLE 2, SECTION 9-58, OF THE
CARMEL CITY CODE ENTITLED
"TAPPING FEES."
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Carmel, Indiana has
determined that Chapter 9, Article 2, Section 9-58 should be amended
to provide for a revised fee basis and to provide that the tap be
performed by the Carmel Water Department;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL, OF THE
CITY OF CARMEL, INDIANA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section I. Chapter 9, Article 2, Section 9-58 of the Carmel
City Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
Sec. 9-58. Tapping Fees.
Each user, at the time he is connected with the
waterworks system by the Carmel Water Department, shall
pay a tapping fee. The minimum tapping fee shall be
$50.00. The charge for any service tap for 3/4" or
larger shall include the cost of labor, materials and
equipment use, but in no case shall it be less than
Fifty Dollars ($50.00).
Section II. All prior Ordinances, resolutions or parts thereof
inconsistent with any provision of this Ordinance are hereby
repealed.
Section III. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and signing by the Mayor.
