HomeMy WebLinkAboutPacket for HO 11-22-21Introduction of Project The information contained in this packet is in regard to a variance request at 842 W Auman Drive, requesting permission to install concrete paving in our backyard as part of other general improvements being made to the backyard. Statement of Variance Request Improvements being made to the backyard include landscaping, privacy fence, gunite swimming pool, and proposed concrete patio/pool deck, as well as a proposed concrete walkway leading from the driveway to the backyard. Proposed concrete areas will push us over the 35% lot coverage limitation, so we are seeking a variance for 42%, from UDO Section 2.10. Statement of Support The backyard improvements are intended for the use and enjoyment of our family, including two active children. The areas of concrete patio and pool deck were planned and designed in order to provide adequate, safe, and stable space for children to run and play around the pool, as well as adequate space for outdoor dining and sitting for enjoyment of the backyard. Concrete was chosen as the most economical and durable option available. The concrete walkway is needed as a durable surface to support the frequent foot traffic from driveway to backyard that will take place.
