This info packet is for Docket No. PZ-2021-00190. We are
seeking the following development standards variance approval:
UDO section 5.09.13 for the site located at 11352 Fieldstone Ct.
Cannel, IN 46033 (Wood Creek Subdivision Lot 57). Maximum
of 42" front yard fence height is allowed, and we are requesting
a 6' fence.
Statement of Variance Request:
We are seeking variance from UDO section 5.09.B — Maximum
of 42" front yard fence height allowed, and we are requesting a
6' tall privacy fence.
Statement of Support:
According to UDO section 5.09.B, for a corner lot the maximum
height of a front yard fence is 42", but we are requesting a 6' tall
fence. Fences in front yards are not intended for privacy, but we
are requesting a full privacy fence. We live two houses down
from a neighbor who -also has a corner lot with a front yard
privacy fence, as well as the neighbor across the street from him.
Our proposed fence will be no different in placement and will
not impact visibility of drivers. We believe that the fence will
not impact anyone negatively and that the fence will be
professionally constructed and attractive.
