ORDINANCE NO. D-1565-02
AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARMEL, INDIANA,
AMENDING CHAPTER 8, ARTICLE 3, SECTIONS 8-20 AND 8-21
OF THE CARMEL CITY CODE
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Carmel, Indiana, has the authority to adopt
traffic regulations pertaining to speed limits on public thoroughfares located within the City's corporate
limits; and
WHEREAS, the adoption of such traffic regulations is in the best interests of the City, its
residents and the public at large.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the Common Council of the City of Carmel,
Indiana, as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing Recitals are fully incorporated herein by this reference.
Section 2. Chapter 8, Article 3, Section 8-20(a)(2) of the Carmel City Code is hereby amended
by the addition thereto of the following:
Sec. 8-20(a)(2)
Street Names:
"Maplecrest Drive
Carmel Garden
Aberdeen Street
Chauncy Street
Brookline Street
Deacon Street
Walbridge Street
Ivy Hill Drive
Annandale Drive
Penneagle Drive
Dunwoody Lane
Sandalwood Drive
Plum Creek Boulevard
Greenspire Drive
Regency Lane
Burkwood Drive
Haverton Way
Auman Drive East
Auman Drive West"
The remaining portions of City Code Chapter 8, Article 3, Section 8-20 are not affected by this
Ordinance and shall remain in full fome and effect.

Section 3. Chapter 8, Article 3, Section 8-21(a)(9) of the Carmel City Code is hereby amended
to include the following street:
"Meridian Corners Boulevard"
The remaining portions of City Code Chapter 8, Article 3, Section 8-21 are not affected by this
Ordinance and shall remain in full fome and effect.
Section 4. All City ordinances or parts thereof inconsistent with any provision of this
Ordinance are hereby repealed, to the extent of such inconsistency only, as of the effective date of this
Ordinance. However, the repeal or amendment by this Ordinance of any other ordinance does not affect
any rights or liabilities accrued, penalties incurred or proceedings begun prior to the effective date of
this Ordinance. Those rights, liabilities and proceedings are continued and penalties shall be imposed
and enfomed under such repealed or amended ordinance as if this Ordinance had not been adopted.
Section 5. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the latter of (i) its
passage, signing by the Mayor and such publication as is required by law, or (ii) the date on which
sign(s) giving notice of the traffic regulations referenced herein are posted at the location affected
thereby.
